Professional Truck Driver Program For California CDL

The Class B truck and bus CDL training is offered at our Sacramento, California location. At 2nd Chanz Truckin Academy, our Class B CDL training is provided with a passenger endorsement. And it allows you to drive a straight truck with a gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds. A professional truck driver operating a single truck includes the following types of trucks:

Program Length: 3 weeks / 120 hours

Requirement For Class B CDL Training:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid California driver’s license is required
  • A commercial learner’s permit is necessary
  • DOT physical
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Legally able to be employed in the United States
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.

Curriculum:

This program includes parked vehicle training alongside classroom instruction. Also, public roadway driving while with a qualified driving instructor and driving range basic vehicle handling. after successful completion, this course prepares students for entry-level employment in transportation.

Job Outlook:

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment of bus drivers to grow over the next 10 years. As of 2020, the median pay for a bus driver was $34,670 per year or $16.67 per hour. Bus driver training with 2nd Chanz Truckin Academy prepares students for passenger and bus driving careers.
